This issue of didacticum, the online journal of the University College of Teacher Education Styria, presents articles on the topic of language education as a comprehensive, overarching concept and a unifying element of professional educational practice. The focus is on the question of how comprehensive language education can be theoretically grounded, didactically designed, and practically implemented across various educational fields and multiple grade levels. The aim is to strengthen the dialogue between research and practice and to support the continued development of language-sensitive educational practice.
