didacticum
Journal for (Subject-specific) Didactics in Research and Teaching
“Didacticum – Journal for (Subject-specific) Didactics in Research and Teaching” is a journal for research and teaching practice. It is aimed equally at university college lecturers and students in teacher education and at teachers of all types of schools. The aim is to initiate and discuss subject-specific didactic discourses in order to contribute to the dialogue between research and teaching.
The thematic spectrum covers all areas of (subject-specific) didactics, whereby subject-specific didactic questions but also didactic cross-sectional issues such as inclusion, intersectionality, global citizenship education or education for sustainable development are addressed. The basis is formed by a comprehensive understanding of subject-specific didactics and general didactics, which as interdisciplinary sciences contribute to a critical-reflexive and action-oriented view of teaching and learning processes in the connection of theory and practice. The main focus is on the conditions that teaching in Austria is facing, but contributions from other European countries and non-European countries are also welcome.
All contributions are reviewed according to the standards of peer review, the issues are published at least once a year exclusively in digital form, the individual contributions can be downloaded free of charge as PDF files.
