Abstract

We live in a society that has reached or already exceeded its ecological limits and satisfies its material, social and emotional needs through offers of the profit-oriented market system. In this context, the responsibility for a socio-ecological transformation lies with all actors of a globalized economy, starting from politics, economic drivers up to the consumer.

In the sense of quality education and positive further development, it is of great relevance for society and profession to converge the worlds of school and economy in the context of sustainability and climate change education.

Under the heading "Climate Change - From Talking to Acting!" aspects from this approach were taken up in a workshop series at the University College of Teacher Education Styria and further integrated in this year's issue of “didacticum - journal for (subject-specific) didactics in research and teaching".
